cheap jigsaw blades

The local builders merchant changed the brand of blades they sell and Icoudn't ge them to stay in my saw so i checked out the internet posted out to me for £3.70 paying £6. something before exactly the same arrived in 2 days.

they are makita the same as the buiders merchant that's the point and I've been using them for 2 years

Most people try to go too fast with jigsaws is reason for that .

Cheap blades have their place. I buy cheap jigsaw blades for cutting floorboards in situ for cable access, snap them off at 23mm for old boards and 18mm for new,  gives a nice clean cut - I'd cry doing that to a good blade.  :nowink:

I rip up loads of pallets for fire wood the makita ones seam to be really meaty.

But you said they changed brands at the builders merchant..  :unsure: Do you mean they changed the blade shape, cutting edge or fitting of the one in stock?

they changed to bosch which looked exactly the same but fell out evey time I pressed the trigger.

they are suposed too Its a black and decker and i've used 3 other brands which fit as long as the head shapeis correct.

That's the thing, as sparkyrog says, they won't fit as the head shape will be differrent.
