Geek is only growing them for fun, really I think. Must be said there wasn't much point in me growing a lot of things last year.

Maybe Geeks like me, and gets a bit bored with growing all the usual same stuff year after year after year. Still grow it all but try and find something a bit different to grow aswell nowadays. gonna try them exp. cumbers this year and probably West india gherkin aswell. first time for melonXcucumber too, Voyage tomato and Trinidad Scorpion chilli.
If it wasn't for chemicals we'd be organic.

I do try things unusual too, as I mentioned in the thread you started that gone over to the Moon.

What is a Voyage tomato, this time it is a variety, I hope.

I'm growing Dominant cauliflowers by the way.

What is a Voyage tomato,
each tommy looks like a bunch of cherry tomatoes, all bumpy bit like a bunch of grapes lookalike.

David - you just haven't been trying hard enough - these are my 'dwarf' curly kale this afternoon (T&M Borecole - dwarf green curled):

I'm trying Italian Cavolo kale for the first time - its in seed trays at the moment just ready to plant out in the next few days.

Wow! I want that garden!

And the sun, and the chicken!

What are you planning to grow for the first time in 2008?

For me it is Black kale and some winter heading cauliflowers. Plan is to have cauliflower ready for harvest every month ..... we shall see.....

I'll try and grow as much as I can fit into the plot this year. I've already got garlic and onions which have pretty much used up all my available dug up space and ALL my pots as well as pots at home. I got too much of both!    :?

Should be thinking of planting peas now

I now know where I'll be on Jan 28th... Dulwich, looking at and buying seed potatoes!

I hope they have many varieties of the blight resisting Sarpo cultivars...
