De-trussing toms

De-trussing toms

Hi
We've got different types of toms growing and one is 100s and 1000s (which we got free when we bought one of John's books!)-anyway it's very bushy and was wondering, do you de-truss in the same way as other toms or with bush toms do you do it differently??? :blink:

I'm rather hoping you mean taking the side shoots out, rather than the trusses. If you de-truss, you'll have no tomatoes!

100's & 1000's are a bush tomato. Just leave them to do their business.

I shall have to prudently prune some of my trusses on the Tigrella and Moneymakers. Some trusses have 3 doz flowers on them. The palnt can't possibly support that many fruits.
