Blackfly, whatever they want to call themselves. Noticed mine are covered too but not on the growing tips.

Soapy water but mine like yours are so covered i may just go big with the provado, once i check its suitable.

You'll kill all the bumble bees that are visiting them if you use provado, BQ  :(

Ok re-think that then. If the bugs are not on the tips would it help to take the tips off.  :wacko: mine are like the picture too, but only i the last 48 hours

If the bugs are all the way down they have probably been there quite a while and I would remove the stem if there are only a few affected or soak them with some type of soapy stuff that doesn't hurt bees.  I can't officially recommend washing up liquid so will say a fatty acid spray instead.
