Try not eating some for a few days - you could make a couple of pots then!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

hmm getting about 7 or 8 strawbs a day, 2 or 3 may be full sized ones, the rest alpines, barely a mouthful each.

we do the impossible daily, miracles take a little longer.

Picked a load yesterday so some in a bowl on the the kitchen windowsill for us to eat later and the dehydrator is now busy at work drying the rest.

Dried strawberry slices are so delicious.  Having them in the cupboard is like having your own little jar of sunshine in the midst of winter  :D

Its not quantity anyways, its quality with home grown! :) Ive been picking a few strawberries for about a week now but today I have picked my first 'proper' strawberry! Picked on a baking hot day so it was all warm and sweet smelling from the sun. mmmmmmmm

Sadly, as  new strawberry grower, I'm in the few strawberries  per day camp... from about 100 plants.
However, nearly all the plants are first year newbies from last year's runners I trained. Am I right to assume the 2nd year will be better ? I know some say to take off the flowers in the first year and cut off the runners, but with so few fruits, does it matter that much ?

I never did that and I've got a fantastic crop.

You'll have a much better one next year.

Can't remember if Plum already has a dehydrator or not, but there is loads in the food and drink section where we have discussed them  :)

Home dried fruit is lush.  Will do loads of raspberries when they come ready as OH has them in his morning porridge.  Then home made apple rings after that  :)  I use mine a lot for surplus veg as well.  Tomato slices are almost on a par with strawberry ones for cheering you up mid winter :D
