Because I am a newbie useless person, when I sowed these seeds I didnt write down what they were (I dont have a clue at all because not many things germinated - I think down to over watering again because I am useless).

Any ideas?

Only if you sowed some  Sorry not sure I can tell one brassica from another, every time I plant them out I think I will remember & then am surprised by what grows, or annoyed when I miss a cauliflower & just spot it as it blows

I have an annual list of "lessons learned this year".
Number 2 on my list this year is to label and mark ALL seedlings when sowing AND planting out.
Can't be that difficult  :)

Hi Nij,

You're not useless...you're a greenhorn!  I made that mistake more times than I wish to tell (Sure you'll remember Charleen...keep telling yourself that!).

Chin up, think of it like a present...it'll be a surprise  ;)

LOL Charleen and seaside - atleast I am not the only one to do it.

Another tip I learnt is, sow thinly means the packet can to a mile long not two metres lol

Nij48 you are not useless, anyone can forget to label their seedlings

I was doing well this year, until last week when I potted on butternuts and courgettes and didn't put any of the labels back!!

My toms were well labelled this year until the greenhouse bench collapsed, caterpulting them all over, toms one way, labels the other   So I might have potted up all gardeners delight. Not everything goes right every year. There'll always be something.

I have been gardening for enough years to know better but I am not sure what seed potatoes I planted where so it took a while to identify where I put my first earlies so you are not alone.

For ID of your photo, my money is on Swede if it is a brassica.
