jeyes fluid and root fly

has anyone heard of aplying a weak solution of jeyes fluid on the soil around brassicas to kill root fly maggots,some one has just told me to do this but im a bit dubious incase i kill more than the maggots

Jeyes fluid is not for using to kill soil pests, but for sterilising pots etc.

It must never be used for the soil as it will kill absolutely everything ARRGHHH!!!

and of course it is banned for that use anyway

I have used this and it works but have to get solution right.

However, Jeyes Fluid is not licensed as a soil sterilant
