Is it just me or does anyone else find those pearl sized tomatoes annoyingly irritating ?  :)
Me too!  You can't take them seriously, good for snacking on while passing by.  I quite like gardenpearl, but 100s&1000s are even smaller!
I grew sweet million one year and really couldn't be bothered with the number of tiny fruits. Sungold isn't big, but is certainly worth picking :)

Good year so far for the toms. The jan sown are upto nine and the tops pinched out. Around seven to eight foot I reckon. The march sown are not far behind, but they are behind. Glut imminent.

My Sweet Million are about 3cm in diameter (not all of them, but most of them, although to be fair I don't recall them being quite that size last year or the year before.)

All determinedly still green though, unlike the Sungold which are ripening at a couple per day now (3 plants) but are slightly smaller.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

It does sound as though you did have a bad one CQ, so of course, I will bow to your expertise - especially as you'd grown them before!

As Mum says, they look hideous, but if you can eat them blindfold, then you're on a winner!

I tried to take a photo of the brute in the GH yesterday, and it leapt out and ate the camera..;0)

Picked my first Galina tomatoes on Friday and I have lots more Stupice that are nearly ready. I think a tomato glut may be on the way  :D

No sign of Urbikany being ready though. Not planning to grow this again-it's too unruly.  I like the order of vine tomatoes.  :nowink:

Well picked my first tom today as I planted it out on the plot  just typical as I thought the ones in the greenhouse have had a little better treatment & as yet nowt. then when I watered the greenhouse this evening I saw 2 ripening. Think both plants are Gardeners delight but my labels went one way & plants the other when the bench collapsed

Where do all of you find these unusual varieties?? ???
I have only ever grown the usual bog standard varieties.

Last year I vowed only to grow early varieties so at least there is some hope of getting a harvest before blight strikes. Next year I'm tempted by their Ethel Watkins' Best and 'Purple Ukraine' Tomato.

I don't have a greenhouse so the earlier the better! I now only grow in pots/growbags in the garden as I think there's a slightly lower risk of blight and they get more TLC than on the allotment.  ::)

There is also an interesting selection at:
