That sounds as if it's very very nearly ready - give it a gentle squeeze to see.

It's ok it won't fight back  ::)

I'm bothered that my hanging basket Tumbling Toms are covered in yellow flowers but are only just starting to fruit on some of the branches. Feel like I might be getting all flowers and no fruit this year.

I have been feeding by completely soaking the whole basket once a week in a trug full of tomato feed in water until the bubbling stops and then letting them drain on a bucket before hanging back up, so it's not for the lack of feeding.

Gardener's Delight in my poly greenhouse - fruits but all green. Better like chutney!

I stopped bothering with Black Krim as I only ever got a manky, soggy, hideously greeny black result from a humungous plant  :D

Gardener's Delight are usually described as a cherry tomato, although I don't think anyone has ever bothered defining how big a cherry is!

My neighbour grows GD every year and they're certainly bigger than the last bag of cherries I bought!  ;)
Yep. Mine are bigger than cherries :D

Is it just me or does anyone else find those pearl sized tomatoes annoyingly irritating ?  :)

No Growster. I thought they were manky and looked blighted so I didn't eat them. They just looked vile.  Why eat soggy, manky-looking toms when you don't have to   :tongue2:

You can't really make a comment until you've tasted them though, can you? It's food after all and to be eaten :nowink: The trick is picking them at the right time, which is why I suggested the gentle squeeze test

My best tasting tom is Black Cherry, it looks horrid but tastes devine, now closely followed by Black Sea Man  :)

Me too!  You can't take them seriously, good for snacking on while passing by.  I quite like gardenpearl, but 100s&1000s are even smaller!

Yes, but if you think it's succumbed to blight or some vile disease you don't eat it. They look greeny, black and rotten, soggy flesh.  Foetid almost.  I'd grown them for two years hoping to succeed but wrote them off as they looked hideous and obviously afflicted by something nasty.  If that's normal for a Black Krim I'd rather grow sommat else
