Feeding spring sown onion sets

Should I be feeding my spring sown onion sets now and if so, what with? I have bonemeal but read somewhere that BFB is preferred. If BFB is the way to go, can I substitute the bonemeal?  I put bonemeal in planting holes so maybe it isn't what I should be using to fatten the bulbs up.

Have you got a few chicken pellets to add with your bonemeal, to make it more of an  'all-purpose' feed, like BF&B?

I gave mine the last bit of growmore I had kicking about. I wouldn't put BFB down at the plot as the foxes would dig the whole lot up for me I only use BFB before I plant, then a few holes don't matter so much, and it gets dug in

Yep I do have some chicken pellets so I'll do just what you suggest and hoe it in.
