While she might be a nuisance when people are retiring, our cat never wakes people up in the morning, unless her bowl is empty.
Not only that, now she's all Summered up, we hardly see her, as she camps out in the trees looking to get the life she wishes she led through the Winter.
However, I've given her the link to DD's blightwatch and instructions on being bleeped. So, I'm now fully covered should the balloon go up. Every second counts :)

Just reading though this thread for the first time and am wondering why you gave your cat DD's instructions? or am I missing something?  :D :D

Lilac, just making a little light hearted fun of DD's early rising cats.
It's a little known scientific fact that every year the whole potato crop of the UK depends on the unseen efforts of the unappreciated British moggy. Most people think they're lazy gits, and few people realise they're actually tirelessly vigilant, looking after our best interests. If blight strikes, you can bet there's a cat on the case. :)

If I'd ever given our numerous cats any instructions, they'd have flipped me two claws and wandered off to create whatever mayhem they wanted to..;0)

Please can we stay on topic - this isn't a chatting thread

People who are worried about blight won't find this helpful :(

Thank you MoS.

We're generally quite tolerant of people straying way OT, but as you say, this is potentially quite a serious thread for a lot of folk.

However, I'm pleased to note, to bring things back around, that the dot at Buckhurst Hill has turned green. Therefore there are still no confirmed outbreaks in the UK.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

You did start the cat subject though.

It has been warm and wet here in Plymouth today.
