Strawberry runners
« on: June 06, 2013, 21:03 »
Hi guys,

I need help with my strawberry runners.
I have two strawberry beds on my plot and hoping to make a 3rd this year.  I notice that the 2 yr old plants have started sending out runners, it also has loads of flowers on them too.  My 1 yr old plants have a few flowers and sending out runners as well,  is it best to take them off the 1 yr old or 2 yr plants?
I was thinking the 1 yr old am i right?

Thanks Dan
Dear God, Please can you stop the wind and rain and bring on the nice weather. Amen

I don't think it really matters.

But it's only the first new plant off a single runner string that is the strongest, not the second, third one etc.
Sometimes my plants grow despite, not because of, what I do to them.
