Redbor kale going to seed

I bought some redbor plugs     in the garden centre in March and they are lovely plants now ,about 2feet high- but they are flowering!
I think they are biennials so presumably they are last years plants.So,Should I pull them up and eat them and sow some more plants?or will they thrive through the winter if I simply remove the yellow flowers now?
Note to self - no more plug plants,I have sown everything else from seed!

All cole crops are more sensitive to heat than other veg and the red kale is probably extra sensitive which would send it quickly to seed. If you bought plug plants, then it likely was newly seeded but just couldn't stand whatever heat you got which doesn't even have to be a heatwave.
