My strawberries have flowers on them and they are also producing long runners. Should I remove the runners or let them root? 

The plants are from last year and they did not fruit very much then.

If you want to increase your stock you can let them root, it doesn't seem to make any difference to fruiting - whether you leave the runners or take them off.

 I thought that the runners would affect the fruit, but you have put my mind at rest!
