So what have you forgotten?
« on: May 28, 2013, 07:27 »
Trawling though seed sowing list last night, ticking off and realised have forgotten to sow anchocha and sharks fin melon in the late rush this year   Quick check of seedlings in greenhouse and windowsills - nope, not here  ::)

All very well making a list and looking organised, but operator failure in not ticking off as you go has rather defeated the object  ::)

Shame on me - but a main crop of Kent Blue peas - I only have the few in the greenhouse, another job for when it stops raining!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

funny you should mention achocha - it's been 3 years since I grew some on a particular bed, and every year several seedlings pop up.  As the bed is now the permanent rhubarb bed, I spent yesterday picking them out - so you are not too late to sow some now  ;)

The list of forgotten seeds is embarrassingly long - I think most of it has been due to "it's too cold" to sow direct and just waiting for it too settle into warmer weather.  Before you know it, it has slipped off the list   I only sowed the peas and beans last weekend because I realised time was ticking.  I WILL sow some swede soon - last year I completely forgot and when I bought a small one for a meal, I reeled in dismay that I paid nearly a £1 for it ...

Fear not BQ - we are both useless at swede   DD suggested we run a compy for most pathetic entry.  Up to you whether you go for the main prize or the wooden spoon

Having googled this sounds fascinating, but there is a min order at real seeds for £5.99-does anywhere else do them.  I'll need to get a shift on with it. Thanks.

Need a brolly lol. I have the seeds out and ready but I keep looking out the window and staying on here for another five mins.

The kids have all decided rainy day equals music practise so one is on his xylophone and the other is at the piano. Florence is helping with the piano practise. I have five mins to do my swede too in peace.

I haven't sown swede or autumn & winter cabbages yet - but did do the sprouts  What happened there?  :nowink:

Mind you the way things are going (or is that growing?) the early stuff won't be finished and out for them to go where they usually do, anyway  :nowink:

I forgot my borlotti beans!  Thought I'd done them the same time as my runners and French, but not there.  So they went in on Sunday!
