Hi although our girls have up until recently gone up in the coop as it gets dark at about 8.30ish just recently they are up in the coop at about 7.15 and do not come down again until morning.  Is there a reason for this or s it just because it is cold? :blink:

They tend to go in earlier when its wet, cloudy, miserable looking outside or windy

Mine usually go in at about 7.30/8pm and the door automatically closes at 8.30   but this week they have been going in at 4.30/5pm.  We live up in the Brecon Hills and has been particularly cold and wet this week so I think they just get fed up!!!  I wish the ducks would go in on their own, I have to go down every night to put them away, Im sure they would stay out all night if they could...

Know exactly what you mean. If they are anything like mine were they would stop out all night every night
