GREEN STALKS ON MY RHUBARB

Hi my rhubarb has come up really well but all the stems are green with no sign of them turning red can anyone tell me if theres a problem or will they redden up eventually thanks in advance Andy

Welcome to the forums.

I wouldn't worry about it. Not all rhubarb varieties are red, although the colour tends to come when cooked.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

As said many types and several are mainly green.

I have both although not sure why I bother. Living in the Rhubarb triangle means there are fields of the stuff all around me and lots of heads in bushes etc.  ::)

My early stalks seem to be green but now it's got going they are red, no-one looks when they are eating it at lightening speed.  :wub: greedy lot I this house.

Wish I had green stalks. One of my crowns has onlyone leaf and so far I have cut off 5 flowers
