« on: May 01, 2013, 19:59 »
Hi All,
A the topic says, is anyone's spuds showing yet. Mine have been in the ground 4 weeks and are not showing at all. I cant remember from past years how long they take to pop up.

Nope, mine aren't either. Maybe I did them too deep .....
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

Mine went in 6th April and they are just showing a tiny bit of green.  But I didn't earth them up yet so the shoots only had a few inches to go.
It has just occurred to me I hope there isn't a frost tonight  :(

I planted mine on the 10th April, First Earlies just started poking out yesterday, so did a little earthing up, but the raised beds need some more soil, and we won't be moving that until the weekend, so hopefully no more show before then.

Nothing showing when I checked on Sunday. Have just been up there about half an hour ago and forgot to check again, I'll have a look this weekend. They went in on the 8th April.
