Does anyone have any ideas as to what this is ?

It's an evergreen and tends to flower well an alternate years.  It's about 5 ft tall but I have restricted it's growth by keeping it in a pot.

looks like a Mahonia - not sure which variety, but it's beauty

It's not a Mahonia. 

It has no perfume and the flowers are like dangling bells.  It's in full flower now.

I've lost the label and can't remember what it is

Vestia, or Chilean Bell Flower. It certainly has bell-like flowers
