Hello
I have one hen who doesn't seem to want to roost in the house anymore. I've inspected the house at night and there are no signs of redmite plus the other hen seems to be happy enough in the house, going to bed as usual. Is there any other reason why the sudden change in behaviour? Also, she has started doing a lot of shouting around bedtime too!! ??

Where is she in the pecking order?  If she is top hen she may be doing guard duty and making sure they all get to roost safely.  If she is bottom she may just be avoiding having to be too close to her bullies.

Also check the ventilation is adequate in the coop.

the pecking order is being re-established as we lost the 'boss' a couple of weeks ago, will keep an eye on them.
