I presume these are the bi-coloured chestnut and white beans. Americans also refer to small white french beans as pea beans.

Pea beans are Phaseolus vulgaris, unrelated to french and runner beans. The other beans in this family are Orka beans. They have a similar bi-colour but are black and white - hence Orka. Pea beans climb, Orka beans are dwarf habit.

Grow Pea beans like climbing french beans. Eat pods like french beans, or shell them and eat the beans,  or allow to mature and dry the beans like haricots.
