Ducklings early AGAIN!

Some who have been around for a while might remember that a couple of years ago I was having trouble with ducklings hatching really very early (3-4 days in some cases). In fact with my old incubator I never had one hatch on time. If they weren't out by day 27, they were dead.

Well this year I got a new inch as I needed a bit more space and my first duckling is due to hatch on Weds.

Well the first has already pipped and looks like it will be out by tomorrow or Monday at the latest! The rest look like they might be a bit slower but will just have to wait and see.

Does look like its going to be a wonderful little silver Patrick grand baby duck if it copes with being so premature.

Well sadly the very premature one didn't make it but got one very alert, chatty cutie who is bombing about and knocking the other eggs flying!

I'm jealous, I would love to keep ducks. Can't wait for the pics!
