CLear pink plastic covering for seeds

i have planted some lettuce, spinach and pea seeds and covered them in a clear pink plastic sheet...is this ok to do so ???

You don't say if you've sown in situ or in trays, or where.
I sowed lettuce, spinach and peas straight out in the beds a few weeks ago and they survived that nasty cold weather and are just popping up in the recent sun.
No plastic needed, methinks?

Its usually a good idea to put something like that over the bed a couple of weeks before to warm up the soil.

But the seeds you've sown are usually ok in this weather.

I wont do any harm, but be careful that the plastic doesnt damage emerging seedlings.

Especially the lettuce
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

A plastic sheet will create a warm, moist climate.

Just the sort slugs like!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
