hi everyone, just a quick question. 
ive got a couple of bags of weedy topsoil from when ive been clearing ground, is it worth me sieving out the weeds and roots and using the soil for topping up my raised beds?

You could leave it in the bag for a bit to fully decompose as weed seeds are persistent little bl**ders    I would deffo use it as you can't waste soil can you. It's against the law anyway 

I have a rotary sieve which does a good job of separating weeds from soil.  Sieving soil is good for the waste line too

You can sieve if you like, but you won't get the weed seed's out. Spread it as topsoil ,remove any root's you see and have the hoe handy for when the seed's germinate.

ive had approx 160 cubic feet of grass and stuff i took off my plot when i took it on its been piled up and covered for approx 18mths started sieve it this week gettin realy good top soil from it, so much cheaper than buying it lol still got few docks trying there best to grow in it but the roots are like a bleached white they so obvious to see.plus gettin some good soil to top up my beds clearing the pile so soon be an extension on my chooks run
