Hello all,
I am new to this game, I have an allotment and was wondering if there was a calendar or guide I could get for what i should be doing on my patch, seeding clearing etc.I am looking to grow Toms, carrots, lettuce, onions etc.
If any one could give me some advise it would be appriciated.

Thank you.

Hi pumpkin and welcome to the forums! :D

I sometimes use this site:  www.gardenaction.co.uk for a quick reference as to what to do now. But I'm sure there may be something on here to help you out. I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable forum members will be along soon to point you in the right direction.

I would also reccommend getting some good gardening books, my favourite it John Seymour 'Complete guide to self sufficiency'

Hope this helps

Hi Pumpkin and welcome, if you go into the home page on here, John has done a month by month guide, as well as tips on clearing a plot.

As for planning planting, that's what these dark nights are for, sketch out your plot and dream of next years harvest.

Yup, no need to leave this site for an inferior one. (as this is the UK's no.1 site, by definition the others MUST be inferior   )

Welcome to the home of the nutters.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I agree, my previous post was only a suggestion! I won't use it anymore as now I've found the 'month by month' guide on here  :D
Hope I'm not in trouble

Hi Pumps  :D

The more information we are aware of the better Ruth, even if from "other" places
