premium grade compost
« on: March 26, 2013, 15:19 »
Just got lots of bags of nice compost - sphagnum moss, worm casts, peat, perlite, 2.5 litres of fertiliser per 50 litre bag from a cannabis factory. All free. Our allotment site has close ties with our local PCSO's and I'd heard of allotments getting compost etc. from such raids as otherwise the police would open the bags and dump the compost.

We're trying to work out how much the stuff would cost. It's a Dutch organic compost yet I've forgotten to write it down.

We have 100s of 10 litre and 2 litre pots too. We're using the compost  to grow tomatoes and build up raised beds.

I'd advise everyone to phone their community support officers and benefit from the misfortune of criminals

Does it come with seeds?  8)
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

There were pots which we should've taken - the police had simply snipped off the plant but the compost was still in there.

When we first took over our allotment we were given lots by the landlord of a house that had been raided.

Great for conditioning the soil and the lettuces loved the fertiliser. Never had them as big!

"Marie-Juana's Pot Compost?"

(Sounds dodgy to me, if only because it can't be guaranteed "weed" free!)  ::)

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

at around £12 a bag it would be good stuff  ;)

It may be worth it for them - but certainly not for me  ::)
