The temperature is at 37.5 but sometimes it looks like its on 37.4 maybe im looking from different angle. Should i turn it up slightly?

The temp for hens eggs according to Brinsea instructions is 37.4 – 37.6°C so i wouldnt worry too much.

You have to remember that if you were hatching under a broody hen, the temp would also fluctuate from when she gets off to eat drink and poop. Sometimes the hen is off the nest for some time.

Thats good point splash101, i topped the water up earlier today and lifted the lid up eggs werent very warm its been on 37.5 mayb its just me lol. These autoturn i dont get when the machine is turned the whole thing turns everything is in same place so how do eggs get the heat from all the way around?

If your incubator is like mine (also Brinsea) there is a fan that circulates the warm air around the eggs.

Mine is brinsea eco 20 automatic. If the fan does that then whats the point of auto turn cradle lol

I think the turning is to stop the embryo from sticking to the shell, but don't quote me on that!      ;)

The fan circulates the warm air only.

Bird eggs need turning to prevent the embryo sticking to the shell & dying (hence auto turn cradle) it rolls the eggs so they move & in turn the embryo in the egg moves about preventing it sticking.

Bird eggs must be turned at least 3 times a day, like the mother would do.

Reptile eggs are the opposite, they (with the odd exception) receive no parental care & must not be turned.

They'll be fine with the lid off when you are candling them.

You can candle them at 5 days but i think you may get better results at day 7-8
