Coriander

We have a friend staying for a few days and he's brought me a prezzie.......





....should keep me growing for a couple of years!!!

We have no Asian shops here unfortunately and when you think the average pack of 'leaf' coriander is about £2 for a really small quantity of seed, this is real value for money

Brilliant never thought of growin it from these bags. Never have much luck get in corriander to germinate though

You can either grow it indoors.........I usually put mine in a wide shallow pot, thinly covered with compost and covered with clingfilm and put on a sunny windowsill and remove the film when germination is complete. Or sow directly into soil
, when it's a bit warmer....with subsequent sowings every 2 weeks or so. I always sow very thickly (with this amount of seed there's no problem). When harvesting cut handfuls about an inch from the soil.....usually have regrowth this way. Have grown it this way very successfully for many years.
