Hello, last year I bought and planted a vine (Phonix, a German variety apparently adapted to colder climes). It did well and i even got 3 bunches of delicious grapes.
It seems one should prune around now, I'm wondering whether i should delay as it's so cold. The forecast is for temperatures to go down as far as -4 C next week.

It'll be fine to prune it --- the ones locally are all down to their stubs on trunks look, and we have temperatures like that too  

You have to prune before warmer weather, when the sap starts to rise, otherwise vines bleed very badly

Hi Missmoneypenny,
Personally l dont prune mine till early March as lt is possible for the vine to get frost bite, learned that lesson couple of years back after pruning in January as generally recommended in Europe, only to find dead leaders, l grow Muscat, schonburger & Huxelrebe, the sap not rising till about late March early April.
