hey everyone What is wood ash. Is it just the ashes of everyday wood eg 2x4 or is it the ashes of trees. Could I use ordinary wood ash?

I use any wood ash provided its from untreated wood dont use ash from chipboard or any treated wood as it may contain some nasty chemicals

Wood is wood, unless it's been treated with something you wouldn't want to spread the residue of on your garden (particularly old paint containing lead - most organic contaminants should have burned off.)
