These are a few cuttings I've taken from a neighbours plot, are they affected by big bud?
Thanks

the mild spell we had before the snow prompted a lot of trees and bushes to start budding up - perhaps that is what you are looking at?

Hi,
BabbyAnn is right - just make sure you brush off any lying snow on these buds as they might get frozen. Another alternative is to chuck some fleece or an old net curtain over them to protect the vulnerable buds - you might lose a couple despite this though.
You won't mistake big bud - big round mis-shapen buds.

Yours looks pretty normal to me.

Thanks for the replies, we haven't had snow here yet although the temp has been freezing there's been hardly any wind. I will have the fleece standin ready.

Your bushes will be OK Ema, it is just newly planted bushes or cuttings that will need protection.

There all new bushes still in pots and cuttings from them in pots. I've shaken the snow off as best I could
