If it gets below freezing inside the shed they will be ruined  :(

They will turn to mush

Better off indoors somewhere very cool and bright tbh

Bought mine today and they went straight into the south facing spare bedroom, with a minimum temperature of around 15 centigrade.

They will stay there, eyes up, for the next eight weeks.
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

Mine are in a greenhouse where it does not drop below 10 degC -- wouldn't want it much cooler than that. I hope your kitchen is slightly warmer, but not more than 15 deg really

Do you mean on top of the wall units? The heat in the kitchen rises, so I expect they would be too warm up there, and would sprout too quickly.

Most importantly they must have light, you do not want long, spindly chits.

There is nothing wrong with green seed spuds. You're not going to eat them, they will rot away.

Another lesson!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Being green doesn`t matter, soft and mushy means frosted and useless.

Cold & soft are not good things.

Green is not a problem as they will go that colour in the light anyway.
