trimming small leaved hebe
« on: January 05, 2013, 18:54 »
hello all . I have four small leaved hebes - the kind that make little domes. Is it possible to trim these as they are getting a little out of shape. Was hoping to take them back quite a bit. Will they regrow?

They should regrow from bare woody stems, so you can trim these back quite hard.

But I would wait until the spring - the cut ends of evergreens can be affected by frost.
