I dug over one bed and covered another I'm not going to use this year. Netted the cauliflowers, mowed the paths and the communal bit at the front. Put slug pellets down near the caullies and peas.

That's it, took me a while even though it doesn't sound much.
first there is a mountain then there is no mountain then there is

Working today but went down after tea, because it was a nice sunny evening. Weeded lettuce bed and planted a couple of spare cauli plants in gaps were I've taken some young lettuce. Sowed autumn king carrots and planted 3 celeriac plants in tunnel beds. Took a trug of well rotted manure home for wife, so she can plant the new rose she bought yesterday. Wonderful listening to the Blackbirds sing down the plot of an evening. :D

Really nice hour, put up some more pea supports, sowed to fill in gaps - beetroot, chard and some other stuff. Picked some spinach - first year the spinach has done well.

Ptarmigan is your spinach going to seed? Mine is so I had to pick most of it to get a meal before it is fully grown as I think it would be too late in a week. Mind you it was absolutely beautiful. Crisp fresh succulent leaves. I might sow some more.

Got loads done.

OH strimmed all the paths and then rotovated two large beds.  He also weeded the outside strawberry bed and put straw under them.

I planted out the Corn, climbing beans, french beans, pumpkins, squashes, courgettes, spinach and broccolli that have all been hardened off over the past couple of days.  Hope I did the corn right as I wasn't sure what was meant by plant in a grid so I planted each four in a square and put a fifth on in the middle of the square.

Then it was off into the PT where I tied in all the tomatoes, pinched out the side shoots and then planted the Aub's, peppers, chilli's and Cucks.  I then weeded the Strawberry bed and the tomato bed and put straw under the strawberries.  When I was finished all that I had a spare 15 minutes so I planted some Beetroot, french beans and corn in the PT (the few plants I had left over from outside).

Once we had watered in everything we went off home tired and hungry.

After a bite to eat I went out into the greenhouse and tidied up the tomatoes in there, tied them into the stakes and removed the side shoots, planted out some peppers in the border and started to sow some lettuce and basil but gave up because I was too tired (will finish this off tonight).

after finishing making the bread this morning it was down to the plot, my intention to clear a patch that was weeding up, then plant some seeds, well 3 hours later and its done, the rain started just as I was finishing. still I dug an area and now have 3 rows of beetroot seed in, plus a row each of cauli, cabbage and broccoli, all from seed. just thestrawberry are left to clear, dig and plant up.

I took my two little ones up for a "quick visit" mainly to grab a bit of salad and check everything was ok. Instead, my youngest (2 1/2) decided to lock himself in the shed and lose the keys. He's not talking yet so I eventually established what had happened through a series of "esss" and "ohhh" (yes and no).

"Where are the keys Zac?"
"Asss"
"Can you unlock the door Zac?"
"Ohhh"
"Have you got the keys?"
"Ohhh"
"Do you know where the keys are?"
"Ohhh"
"*".

I ended up having to borrow a screwdriver from a plot neighbour and take the shed door off. ::)

An hour later we returned home to an initially very cross Mrs Rabbit...until I told my tale and then she peed herself laughing!
