Planted 7 rows of spuds, Desseree, Sarpo Mira, and Red duke of york. Rotavated the strawberry bed and prepared it for planting this weekend

Spent yesterday at my parents and started off Dad's tomatoes and planted up some strawberries.  Up at the lotty today.  Sowed some Touchstone yellow beetroot plus some of the usual red beetroot, broad beans (Aquadulce Longpod and Crimson flowered), plus peas, sutton's Harbinger and Hatif d'Annonay.

Weeded .  OH constructed a post to hang the watering hose from.

Nowt today but yesterday planted carrots ,parsnips and shallots was warm but windy but nice to be outside ..

 I only went to the allotments to cover my cabbages, ended up staying for  6 hours, sowing carrots and parsnip,s did some more weeding . Spent sometime chatting with other plot owners who came along to introduce themselves,

Work continued on new plot (38).  Marking up and prepping beds (manure or HM compost and grit adding to heavy clay).  More lasagne bed layers too on those beds.

20 large bags of manure delivered to site - really heavy.

I hope I can move tomorrow

Thats the shallots/onions/garlic all in. Now to get on with the spuds but probably not until Friday! Oh and started "chitting" my parsnip seeds - a tip I was given.

got my 12x8 greenhouse finally glazed or perspexed boxed the two sides in and made two long beds eiether side 3 1/2 ft wide  x12ft dug out the middle path between em and put soil compost onto one of the beds then filled central trench we chippins to walk on,the greenhouse was put over an existing bed that was just right siz :)e cant wait get growin in there ,ill try post pics later.

today I managed to get hubby to pledge 3 hours of time to help me in the garden this weekend and from reading your posts, I am way behind in the veg planting! I did move the strawberry pots from where the removal van dumped them into a spot where they will get rain and sun. That's a start? right?

At long last managed to get my first early spuds in!!!!!! Also got my bean frames up, so all in all not a bad day!

bought and planted 14 strawberry plants from wilkinsons in the garden, they are in pots along the shelf on the sunny fence, more will go in when the seeds I have sown come up and get big enough to plant.
