Went up to the site today with family.  We got the heavy duty mower from the shop and mowed over the new plot.  Had to dig out lots of couch infested black plastic bags which were partially disintegrated.  Looks like we might be able to get 3-4 beds ready fairly quickly.

We have got 20 large bags of manure being delivered tomorrow afternoon.

Collected a load of well rotted manure from my friendly farmer with my friend's husband & son & their trailer. Planted 20 Pink Fir Apple seed potatoes. Hoed the raspberry bed, swept the paths, dug up the last of the parsnips & leeks & gave some to friends husband, had a cuppa & sorted out re allocating the plots with PP 'cos the Parish council are rubbish at it.

Quick visit between the showers just to check on wind damage! Greenhouse OK this time but one cloche moved but rescued by some unknown saint!

Just a quick visit for us as the plot is boggy and horrible again after 3 days constant rain  :(
Sorted the stack of wood out that previous holders of the new half left and worked out which bits to use for which new beds. Tidied the strawberry bed and then applied the nematodes to hopefully get rid of the vine weevils.

Finished making my compost heap and put small amount of stuff in it (tonight's job is to do a bit more research on how to make good compost). I only managed to bang my thumb once with the hammer so that was good! I started to sow a row of beet root but the all day sun suddenly turned to rain so I had to come home (mother natures way of telling me it is too early to sow outside perhaps?). Thee sun is now out again  >:(

Marked up potato bed into square feet, and planted 10 Charlotte, 10 Rocket and 10 Desiree potatoes.
Chatted to next door neighbour, checked on seedlings planted yesterday and came home.

Planted the rest of my potatoes Maris Piper, King Edwards and Desiree. Also put in beetroot and lettuce seedlings
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Repotted blueberry bush. That was all. The site is too wet. I knew I should have done more last weekend when I had the chance :(
