Did a bit of weeding ,ground still wet  .Cleared some of the paths between beds, quite mild ,
but the wind was fairly strong.
Moved some more bulbs to different beds.

Finally finished putting the woodchips on the paths. Sorted out the storage area - well moved things from one to to another, but it doesn't look any tidier.

Potted up 2 apple trees.  That is 6 apples now and 1 pear tree, almost an orchard.

Got rid of a third of a soil pile that was last years grass and spread it back onto the lower levels of the plot to raise the levels a bit
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Finished edging my third bed and started my fourth and last. Moved a massive pile of branches and wood from the back of my plot to a corner and made a 'screen' out of it all (as my plot is the edge one, backing onto woodlandy scrubland and small stream). I also started making a path from all the stones I have been collecting! All in all, a very productive morning

visited both my half plots just to see how they are going, a few weeds but that was expected, a few more dry days and they will be fit for digging, garlic is coming up and there are some small leeks too, looks like its time to fire up the rotovator for the spring dig soon.

Weather just great , sunny with a bit of wind chill , but wrap up and all was well. Repaired poly tunnel damaged by weight of snow and started to edge plot with wood planks from neighbour who unfortunately passed away on New Years Day. Wife phoned to say please take them if you can find a use for them. Always sad when a fellow allotment holder leaves us. Got some washed up seaweed from the high tide mark for the asparagus bed , so all in all a very good day.

Shifted a ton of cow muck ready to dig in, when it dries up a bit ,another ton tomorrow. Absolutely knackered,  just show how long it is since i have done any digging because of the wet. :)

Weeded the autumn onions bed, and the one with spring cabbages and kale in it.

Brought home leeks, curly kale, parsnips, oca, beetroot and sage
