Well not exactly today but over the last week and weekend.  After last years flood we where somewhat reluctant to go back to the plot full time.  We had already dug a bed or two and got some potato's in.  This is what we found............ before and after shots.

Oh my god

Looking better

What a mess

Weeds weeds and more weeds

The wife and I feel so much happier  :)

Quick trip this morning after the dentists, just an hour, pulled a few weeds (just about 1/3 of a bucket) then spot weeded the strawberries ( a forkful around each strawberry plant) filled a bucket with strawberry plants, picked half a dozen leeks then came home.
planted the strawberries into 3 tubs at home.

The rain (gratefully received, for the moment)made the broad beans flop over so installed another row of string.

Hubby went up last night and carried on the big dig even though it was on and off rain. If we stopped for the rain down here we'd still be digging the first plot  ::)

Just popped down to make sure stuff was still standing. Compost bins and water butts everywhere. Plot next to ours has a big wooden arbour, which had been lifted about 15 feet up the hill into the plot above.

Bloomin wind!
Breaking new ground.............literally!

Hubby popped up and carried on digging a bit more, hes also jumped all over the cabbage bed which has just been finished so abit more jumping and the cabbage will go in. He was rotavating the rest but has left this bed untouched.

a quick trip this morning was very quick, just a few weeds, planted 3 rows of carrot seed, then went to string up for the peas, only to find I hadnt bought the string, dropping the wife in town later so may pop back with the string. on the upside, my friendly robin bought a friend with him today.

second trip of the day complete, strung up the strings for the peas and beans at the plot I went to earlier, then went on to the other plot and started doing the same there, got 1/2 of them done before the phonecall to pick up came - another 2 1/2 hours on the plot.
