Some of my tomatoes are bursting out of their skins - I presume it's a result of a sudden influx of water. They're mostly small Sungolds. They still taste nice though.
Some compensation for a complete lack of french and runner beans. Always next year I suppose.

Hi noshed I think you're right there re the toms, but my runner beans and french beans are going great guns now its cooler and we've had some rain.

I've just put a pic of my haul of tomatoes for part of this week on the allotment album if anyone is interested.  80lbs frozen now, and made my first passata tonight, thanks supersprout!!!!

And lunch tomorrow is..................................................

I've got 12 feet of climbing beans (Goldfield (French, yellow), Fasold (French, round) and another (French, flat) and some Runners.

For the first time this summer I've got a glut.   As for toms, everywhere!

Tomatoes everywhere???  I will have next year for sure.  the dog loves them, so there will be loads of tomato seeds deposited all over the garden, which is mostly grass still!!!!!!

WEll, some of them are 'volunteers' from last year - a cherry/black russian cross is particularly delicious... growing in the middle of the lawn - I didn't have the heart to weed it out.
