I have noticed that, along with my cockerel Thatcher, some of the girls also have spurs such as the Ancona and Cream Legbar, but the others do not.  Apologies for the stupid question but why is it that some chickens do and some dont have spurs????

most hens have the spur buds but not many develop into proper spurs. I have a hen called Emily and she has huge spurs  :)
Staffies are softer than you think.
