It is your neighbour's responsibility to keep the dog under control and not roam free.

Sorry, but I had this problem with one of my neighbours a few years back and the legal stand is that if you want to keep a neighbours dog out of your garden its up to YOU to put up the fencing! (I still have all the legal paperwork somewhere).

Sorry, but I had this problem with one of my neighbours a few years back and the legal stand is that if you want to keep a neighbours dog out of your garden its up to YOU to put up the fencing! (I still have all the legal paperwork somewhere).

It's a 2 way thing though.  Like I said earlier, when we moved into our house in Essex, we had a letter to say that we had to fence in our garden to stop our dog roaming anywhere else!

I have a 4yr old Miniature Schnauzer and we live in a remote part of Brecon surrounded by farms. She is great with the chickens and all the animals, there are always cows and sheep being driven up the lane  she just watches them. Sometimes she goes over to the next door farmer's barn when th ecows are inside and they come to the gate and lick her face. She's even managed to 'tame' the farmers dog who is definately not a house pet.  She never gives up want to play so I think he has just given up!!!  Heres a pic of Prue helping me look for eggs!!!!
