what are your tastes, Rosemary? From what I've read so far, it seems a lot of leftpondians like their cornbread sweet and moist.

I thought cornbread was meant to be dry, like a bread. A bit moister and heavier than bread but still a bread. that's how I remember it, but then again memory ain't perfect  :?

the version you had sounds very like my one -- not sweet at all, so it was a real surprise to make this new version which was very sweet and moist.
