Personally, I find a little goes a long way in savoury dishes - but if you liked the end result, then that's all that matters  :D

hi rachel

i do like the sound of that  :) i have been experimenting for about a year with vegetarian cooking with some successfull results and some not so successfull hee hee !! and i was a pro before my strokes  cinnamon powder and dried ginger are pretty powerfull things,i now have nothing in my small garden for this dish but i have fresh ginger and cinnamon sticks here so when my friend jane comes down for her morning coffee i will get her to ------ dare i say it to a gardener----- he whispers in her ear--- go to asda and buy the veg ---- oh the shame the shame  ,also i swapped to using quorn products in my cooking cos found i could get more flavour into quorn than i could tofu and to be honest my pallete just does not like the texture of tofu, still each to there own i guess eh ! this dish sounds like a proper winter warmer and weather horrid outside here today cold, windy and rainy ( sure its only sept 13th ? ) so i will have a play were i am at my most happiest---- in my little kitchen  :D  and i will keep you posted on my efforts rachel ( no pun intended hee hee ! )

cheers jay   8)
