So sorry for your loss Pixieswift.  You were lucky to have Gladys if only for her short life and she was definately a lucky chook to have such a loving and caring Mum.  Treasure your memories.

So sorry to read your bad news pixieswift you did a great job of looking after her and you can be sure it was not your fault as the vet said at least she is at peace now.xxx

Thankyou so much for everyone's lovely words and andy46 yes the vet assured me NOWAY AT ALL could i have done it with Harkamectin and he should know what he is talking about as he specializes in  birds, he said it was coincidence and at the most it may have triggered something that was underlying but thinks not. I still blamed myself always thinking what if this what if that and wished i had not have given it to her, she is in my thoughts every day i smile everytime i think of her.

its a natural part of the greiving process to blame yourself you will feel different in time.
