Clique ....
« on: August 20, 2012, 07:30 »
I've got seven hens.. 2 are ex-battery hens, 4 are POL hybrids and one silky. The Silky is a good bit younger than the others. All but her (the silky) seem to follow eachother around. She is nearly always on her own as if she's not part of the group. Maybe I'm just a soft person but it's as if she's always on her own. Wondered if it's because she's that bit younger or that bit different to the others or maybe she just prefers to do her own thing. Anyone experienced anything like that? Was thinking about getting her some company in the form of maybe another silky or poss a pekin bantam.

It might be best to get her some silkie pals. Don't get just one though (get 2) or your larger chickens will bully the newcomer.
