I am going to grow spring cabbages this year for the first time ever

Pixie is a good one, which is a pointy one. A good round one is Spring Hero  :)

I'm going for offenham 2 again, as the b***** sligs had them yesterday!

Just when I'd made a new cloche out of an old freezer basket and some clear plastic from a new chair cushion. Grr. >:(

Hope for enough for us and the chooks...
lovely to have something to grow during the winter.  keeps the spirits up, I find.  :)

I agree  Chrysalis, our veg patch looks so bare and sad in winter.
But we've done quite well so far as we have only been in this house 3 years and in that time I think nearly everything in the garden has had a change of place! Its been hard work as it had been badly neglected but the satisfaction so far is immense. The veg patch is an addition so doubly satisfying  :)
