Can anyone tell me if Pentland Javlin potatoes are any good for mashing or chips?
I'v grown them for the first time this year and my first harvest last week produced some quite large potatoes which I cut up, part boiled then roasted in garlic.
As we are not really a fan of boiled potatoes, I wondered whether they would be any good for mashing or chips.
I noticed the skins are quite thin and scrape off easily so I'm guessing you couldn't bake them whole.
Also, how long can you leave them in the ground for?
