Broad Beans
« on: July 15, 2012, 22:05 »
I have been away for a few days and have come back to broad beans that are getting a bit old!
I think I will have to remove the outer shell.
I know I can do this when they are cooked, but is there an easy way to do it when raw, as I woluld like to add them to a stir fry.

Thanks

Elaine

Very hard to do this uncooked, much easier to do it to them when cooked/blanched and add at the last minute to the stir fry to warm through. :)
Cheese makes everything better.

Hi, can I blanch and remove the outer shell before freezing?
