what is kale like ,,is it like broccoli,,never seen it so ive no idea,no one on our allotment grows it

Never eaten it but I buy it from the supermarket for my bunnies, I will ask them what it tastes like in comparison to broc when I get home...

there are several different kinds so just google  curly kale, green dwarf, sutherland kale, nero de Toscana etc they all taste slightly different as well  

Pentland brig is the one that eventually grows loose heads which you can use like broccoli

Quite a strong cabbagey flavour, like savoy.

As argyllie says strong cabbage flavour, with the big advantage that you only take a few leafs at a time and the plant keeps growing.
If you don't like a strong flavour take the leafs younger, as the flavour seems to get strong the older the leaf.
