Vegypete, I'm going to move this thread over to Hen House, because I think it would be useful for others to be able to refer to it in the future.  Chicken Chat autoprunes very old threads eventually, whereas Hen House threads don't get pruned.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Well done !!  :)  Also register your flock with DEFRA, the poultry register.

At least you can tell the "officials" that.

It is voluntary.

It can be found easily enough by a forum search if needed - and we don't get that many queries, so I shouldn't think it needs to be a sticky (subject to the views of the main moderators for this bit of the forum, that is!).
